Grace Temple Apostolic Church (GTAC) was found on June 11, 1972 by the late Bishop Thomas H. Young and his wife, Evang Janet M. Young. The first services were held at 2445 W. Washington St. Phoenix, AZ and later moved to 2937 West Almeria Rd. Phoenix, AZ. Throughout the years Bishop Young, Evang Young and the GTAC family have assisted and founded several great causes including “The Strong Tower Rehabilitation Home for Men, (1992),” “Western Regional Apostolic Bible Collage (1993),” and the annual “Love Your Community Day.” For 20 years, GTAC operated a weekly community food bank, which fed as many as 300 people weekly.
On September 1, 2019 Bishop Young made his transition from labor to reward. Assistant Pastor Michael L. King continued the service as pastor until November 2011. From November 2011 – September 2015 GTAC was bless with several great pastors Pastor Todd and Lady Satina Hunt, Pastor Anthony and Lady Renee Sinngfield, and Evang Janet M. Young.
On May 14, 2016 now, District Elder Dr. John L. Paige Jr. and Lady Mary Jane Paige were installed during the 50th session of the Western Regional State Council. This dynamic duo have hit the ground run and have made moves in the community and church.
